Today we introduced how we do home school. This is such a huge topic, we will be revisiting it often. Today we talked a little curriculum, a little about home school co-ops and a little about a day in the life of a home schooler.
Doing school at home looks different for every family. There is no right way to do it. So our experience may not look like your experience. And that is just fine. All that to say, If home school for you doesn’t look the same as it does for us, carry on. You’re still doing it the right way. Enjoy the process. Every year looks a little different. Every year there is new stuff to learn. You’ll grow right beside your kids.
The biggest benefit of stepping away from public school for me is the freedom it gives us to take a break or make a change in the middle of the year. We can take educational trip or vacations during the school year and have whole museums to ourselves. We can also ditch a curriculum that doesn’t fit our learning style and choose something that suits us better.
There are so many benefits to home school A few include getting to spend more quality time with your kids, tailoring curriculum to fit individual learning styles and being able to participate in more out of school activities.
We visited a few other parenting topics here and here. Give those a listen.
