Listen to Early Gardening HERE
With the spring flowers showing off all their glory, it is time to start thinking about gardening. On today’s show, we discussed a few of our first gardening tasks. It feels so good to be outside playing in the dirt again. Whether you’re planting peas or getting your tiny tomato seeds under the grow lights, it is such a good time to think about what you want to accomplish in the garden this year. Join us for this discussion on the possibilities.
Today we discussed some of our first gardening tasks. If you’re a new gardener, this can feel very daunting. There is so much to do and the window for getting them done seems painfully small. One of the things we talked about is how forgiving your garden can be on timelines. If you’re running a little behind, have no fear. There is still plenty of time. If you have a Saturday to start planning you’re right back in the game. So please don’t give up before you start.
We also got into a few specifics on things we like to plant early. There are a surprising number of things that can be in the ground and almost producing before the last frost date. And there is really nothing better than being out in the garden planting tomatoes and taking a pea eating break. Yum! The perfect snack to get you right back to planting those little seedlings.
