Chocolate Orange Cookies
Make these chewy chocolate orange cookies for your gatherings this weekend. Your guests will be so impressed
- 2 sticks room temperature Butter
- ¾ Cup Dark Brown Sugar
- ¾ Cup White Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 ½ t Vanilla
- Zest of one Large Orange
- 2 ¼ Cup Flour
- ¼ Cup Cocoa Powder
- 1 ½ t Baking Soda
- 1 t Salt
- 1 Cup Dark Chocolate Chips
In a the bowl of your stand mixer cream together the butter and sugars until well combined.
Add eggs, vanilla, and zest.
Then add in the remaining ingredients and mix until all are well combined.
Refrigerate cookies for one hour before baking.
Using a spoon or disher, shape the dough into cookies and place on a prepared cookie sheet.
Bake for 9 minutes turning them half way through.
Remove from oven and allow to rest on cooling rack.
Notes:
These cookies remain chewy even when they are fully cooked.
If you like your cookies to spread out more and be a larger shape then skip the refrigeration. If you like them to stay a little smaller and rise more, make sure to refrigerate.
